And just in case you were wondering "hey, first you say you're anti-comsumer and then you tell me to buy things?" let me just clarify this a little further. I'm not against buying things. Heck, I love to buy things! I am specifically against passive, uninformed, kneejerk consumerism -- people who just buy things because they think they should, or out of apathy, or because "it was there". In my ideal world, everyone would be an active and informed consumer -- seeking out the things they really need and really want, and making informed decisions about when and where to buy those things -- and they would find a balance between their consumption of goods and their own creativity. I do as many things for myself as I can, but I can't make the new Lush CD or Hernandez Bros. comic myself, so I am sure as heck gonna go buy it. Well, you get the idea. Right?
